Legal Commons initiative recently hosted the first of its Impact Conversation Series on Digital rights, expanding the Frontiers of Constitutional Rights in Nigeria with Adeboye Adegoke of Paradidmhq, Kadeem Olayiwole, Managing Partner of Amorim Solicitors, Mr Liberty Oseni, Coordinator of Media Advocacy of West Africa and Roseline Okori of Citizen Commons as moderator at Impact Cove.
The event featured experts who explored the implication, potential and challenges of the expansion of human rights to digital rights in the age of technology and the internet.
No doubt, Digital Rights just like any other fundamental human right must be preserved both online and offline. While we agree that technology has brought about endless possibilities that have benefited us at large, we must recognize the limitations that come with the enjoyment of these benefits, such as the risk to personal data and more.
The Legal Commons platform is a network that connects the demand for legal representation and social inclusion to the supply of activists and advocates.
